How WONDERFUL to see all those attending the recent Belt Awards ceremony. You all should be very proud of your progress. Ms. Roberts and I remarked what a good test cycle, especially considering it was a summer session when attendance becomes difficult. Pictures will be on line soon. If you have digital pictures you would like to have put on the web site just send them to Mr. Monroe (our WEB MASTER).
Each of you will be challenged with your new rank, working toward your next belt, and preparing for the up coming Oct 12th 2007 tournament. Now that you are wearing your belt you will start to feel the sense of belonging; that you feel that you are performing at that level. The challenge comes in stretching yourself in preparation for your next belt. One obstacle for some is trying to stay focused in regularly spaced practice sessions – one of the “14 Attitudes”. Preparation for the tournament can help propel you into a mode of success.
If you haven’t signed up for the tournament, there is still time, but it is running out. If you are still having difficulty let me know so we can help you get registered. Mrs. Simms, the Tournament web site administrator, has assured me that she is there to help if you need it.
Join us at the tournament and visit with Grandmaster Shin, Master’s of the region, and other Tang Soo Do Family members. I assure you, you will have a great time. If you cannot find your copy, or obtain a copy from on line, just let me know and we can print a copy. We will be spending extra time in preparation for the tournament; this will be especially helpful for new students and a great refresher for the old timers. -
